Dilapidated Shoes
I wrote this poem during my high school days. As far as I can remember, sadness filled me while jotting down this piece. Dated 12/05/07 @ 8:40am
LOL! here it goes...
The year is almost ending
People are all busy buying
Preparing in advance for Christmas
Hoping they could purchase from the surplus
There was this young lady
Who doesn't eat much candy
Wished for the world's love, peace and unity
Wants to plant and grow at least one tree
She walks to school with her big backpack
Doesn't mind people who tease her "hunchback!"
Sometimes she cries because she is ashamed
Wearing her worn shoes even if there's a game
Life for her is a challenge and it's hard
This lady is contented for her awards
Faith in GOD is what she always value
Striving to be more righteous and true
