My Personal Goals in Using Technology for Quality Education

Technology is known to lessen the time we consume such as in making our reports, proposals, plans, research, and other computer-related works. But when it comes to maintenance, you need more time to repair it, to clean it, to check it, and above all, finances rise up. It is paradoxical, technology is a tool to save time so we could do other work. And yet, technology requires time to maintain its use. Thus, earning money is very much needed.

COMPUTER

In school, computers are essential for the students' learning. Both the students and the teachers have the advantage for using technology. The students could easily access the internet in their homes or in school or if they have laptops, they could connect to any place with Wifi connection. Computers are ready for use like in making reports, searching  for their research, communicate with group members online, share thoughts with their friends and people they know. The teachers benefit as well since they use computers in making their syllabus, handouts for the students to have something to read on while they are discussing using their Powerpoint presentations, in computing the grades of their students through Microsoft excel, video showing, and others.

Many advantages could be enumerated or listed aside from what were being indicated ahead of this paragraph. But I believe that the disadvantages must also be taken into consideration for us to be aware about its effect in our lives if we don't discipline ourselves when using it. As I try to surf the internet about the internet addiction, I was able to visit this site about internet and computer addiction. The information from the website is really very essential for everyone because there are signs, symptoms and treatment for internet and computer addiction.

BUSY

In my life, I have experienced being addicted to computer games on facebook. But, I realized that I am becoming a slave of it. Perhaps my whole life and not only my time will be eaten if I won't make a move in changing myself. I can still remember the times when I forgot to do the household chores that are assigned to me. It is all because of being hooked on games. I can really attest that internet is very addictive. My mother always reminds me and my siblings that technology is a tool of Satan. Satan wants to devour our time so that we won't have anymore time for God, our family, our friends, and become busy on our own. And the word busy has a lesson in my life. I heard of it two or three years ago in a symposium I joined. I couldn't remember the name of the source speaker that time. He shared the meaning of the four-letter word BUSY. Being busy is being under Satan's yoke. We become busy when we sacrifice our time for things that are of less importance rather than things of great value.

Set priorities

I am very grateful for my mother who keeps telling me to know my priorities. She taught us her children to make the Lord as our priority. With this, all the other priorities we make in our life will fall into the right place. Use of computers might be part of our daily routine, but we must really set limitations and put first things first.

Life must go on

Honestly, I feel like I'm in a mountain top while I was writing this. Many things are bugging in my mind. I was absent for many days already. I'm anemic. I admit that I was very irresponsible in using my cellphone and the use of computer. The reason why I lack sleep. There was a time I tried to talk to the guidance counselor because I have no one to talk to. I blamed my teachers for not coming to school. Hunger was paired to the frustrations I had.
I thought I was losing my mind for the past few days. My mind is on a limbo. I keep on thinking and my mind couldn't rest that's why I had insomnia. I thought it was schizophrenia. No coordination, my speech isn't clear, I forget things and I was acting like a child.

I love my parents very much specially my mom. I haven't proven that yet since I'm still a very dependent seed. I showed my love to people through letters, hugging, handshake. I inspire them but then for myself, I haven't instilled it.

There's no assurance that I could still be given a chance to go back to school. Now I realized the quote, " “You never get a second chance to make a first impression”. Sandra, a friend I haven't seen yet. She asked me, about second chances. All of my answers are opinion. I haven't applied this in my life yet, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding".

GOD, "I know your plans for me". Please help me. Protect me.

Waking up in the morning means another chance

people who commit suicide are weak. .
and their relationship with GOD isn’t much strong. .
if we consider ourselves brave, it is our responsibility to help them. .
it’s not appropriate to be wasting our life but look at others,
they don’t care about the life GOD let them BORROW!. .

some may use these lines “oh well, i’m already wasted!” ,”anyway, i am already dirty”, “no one loves me”, “i’m useless”, i’m not the one i was before, “i don’t have chances anymore”. .
but hey, if we are still alive,life goes on and our chance hasn’t ended yet
plus GOD isn’t happy if we are unclean!
that’s why there is repentance. .
we must turn back from the sins we have committed,
strive to not do it again. .

we will be judged according to our words and our acts. .
let us strive to be worthy to enter GOD’s kingdom. .

and just think of the people who died in their sleep, who were killed, who died in an accident. .
they do not have chance anymore to do what they want to do here on earth as mortals. .haven’t got the chance to say i love you, i’m sorry, forgive me and others. .

so while you are still alive, change. .
second coming is near. .

“he lived his life to the fullest” according to ate joy,his friend. .

seeing his pictures,how his family, my mother and his friends describe him,
i can say he is smart-it runs in the blood. .LOL, good-he doesn’t give headaches and worries to his parents and loveones ,humble-even if he almost got everything, he remains down-to-earth and smiling =) -i saw some of his pictures,he has a great smile,i think he doesn’t pout. .

Track and Field, My Sport

Our Filipino Teacher in 3rd year high school, Mr.Jerry Estillore requested us to write a poem of any topic. The criteria includes the usage of verb in filipino, the "pandiwa".

Mabilis akong tumakbo

This poem was created in year 2007 about myself. I engage in sports such as table tennis, badminton, swimming, volleyball and my favorite, track and field. My mother couldn't believe I am a part of the city games here in Cagayan de Oro when i was still in third grade since I'm quite skinny and sickly.

What can I say about Courtship?

Courting must be an act of sincerity and honesty.

-It has to be continuous even after the girl said yes.
-It is for a lifetime not just from the start.
-It isn't a single use just to make the girl yours.
-It needs to be part of one's routine.
-A habit.
-An addiction.
-For making your love feel safe, happy and secure with you.
